Are your DVD’s only for DVJ’s?
No, since they contain 40 min of non-stop visuals with no logos or credits they are perfect for club owners, event planners and retail stores as well. Once the DVD reaches it’s end it loop’s straight back to the beginning, so you never have to worry about a blank screen. They are also great tools for VJ’s. In fact we included a menu just for them (this menu does not automatically come up when you load the disc, it only comes up when you hit the menu button).

What format is the DVD in?
In NTSC (used in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan and other countries) and PAL (used in most of Europe, most of Africa, China, India, Australia and other countries). You choose the format when you fill out your shipping information.

What region will this DVD play in?
It is formatted to play in all regions.

What’s the aspect ratio of your DVD’s?
4:3

Do your DVD’s contain offensive materials?
No, they are suitable for all audiences.

Why do the visuals look like they are perfectly in sync with the music, regardless of the music I play them with?
For two reasons: 1. The visuals on the entire DVD move to a beat of 128bpm, there are no tempo-changes. This makes it easy for the DJ to sync audio and visual. 2. The visuals are put together in a similar manner as an electronic music track: major changes only happen every 4 bars or multiples thereof.

Am I allowed to perform with your DVD’s in public?
Yes. The owner of a DVJ Vision DVD is licensed to use it in live performances of any kind. However, you can’t resell any of it’s content in whole or in part. All visual content is copyright of DVJ Media Inc.

 What does DVJ stand for?
Digital Video Jockey, basically a performer that dj’s with DVD’s. The release of Pioneer’s DVJ-X1 DVD-turntable in 2004 coined the phrase.

 What’s the typical set-up for a DVJ?
In addition to your amp and speakers you need: two DVD-turntables, an audio mixer, a video-mixer or video-switcher, three LCD monitors (one for player 1, one for player 2 and one that shows you the mix) and a projector or display for your audience. To avoid having to mix your audio and video separately you can either connect your video-mixer to the audio-mixer via midi (if both are midi capable) or connect a video-switcher like Pioneer’s VSW-1 to your audio mixer via fader start. DVJ Vision DVD’s are designed for those situations where you would like to play a CD or a record and have no visuals prepared for them. Let’s say your DVD with audio and visuals on it is playing in DVD-player 1. Put Club Visuals into DVD-player 2 and put your CD or record on (such a device would obviously be added onto the above described set-up). Make sure all three sources run at the same speed. Now start your CD/record and DVD-player 2 and mix out of DVD-player 1.

I create some really hot visuals myself. Are you interested releasing them?
Absolutely. We are always looking for artists to contribute to DVJ Vision. Contact us
